Putty and Paint

I've started this blog to see if it will encourage me to remain a little more focused on both my work and hobby projects.

Well this is my first entry. I hope to update this on at least a weekly basis, which will hopefully enthuse me to produce more and better work. Getting motivated to sculpt and paint evryday can be really hard work sometimes. Don't know why, but it just is.

Workwise at the moment I'm sculpting my second range of 28mm figures for Musketeer Miniatures. These are for the Great Northern War that was fought between Sweden and Russia at the start of the eighteenth century. I've manage to do the first 3 dolls which will be used to produce the first packs of infantry. I'm hopeing to have these done by the end of August so I need to get my skates on.

I've also done some more figures for my Caliphate Arabs range. I produced a second pack of Heavy Cavalry armed with swords and started work on some Barding for the Arab horses. Finally, I've almost finished a couple of armoured Arab Infantry.

Hobby wise, I'm busy putting an Arab army together for the Warhammer Ancients weekend in October. I've had to set myself a pretty strick painting worklist that will enable me to get it finished in time as long as I stick to it.
